Here’s how it works:

1) take a photo of an issue or threat at your local beach or surf break,

2) select the type of threat from a category menu, and

3) tag your location and submit the report.

With six main threat categories to choose from – Coastal Development; Plastic Trash and Marine Debris; Sea Level Rise and Erosion; Water Quality; Coral Reef Impact; and Access – the Save The Waves App is collecting valuable data on community issues on an international scale.

This crowdsourced data is then shared with regional Coalition partners who can address and tackle the issue. This daily insight to our ever-changing coastline is crucial for organizations across the globe to connect with local individuals and find real solutions.
